Last turtle nest of summer begins hatching

The last turtle nest of the summer began hatching on Wednesday. Over 40 turtles began slowly crowling to the sea from Ramla L-Ħamra yesterday evening. The nest in Gozo’s only large sandy beach is the last of six, from this year’s hatching season- which lasts throughout the summer. More turtles should hatch from the nest in the coming days.
