Europe's economy thrives on exports. It sells cars, wine and luxury goods all over the world, and millions of jobs in Europe depend on it. The USA is still the EU's largest trading partner, but it’s hard to work with a self-styled ‘Tariff King’ who slaps on unexpected tariffs from one day to the next. The EU is trying to protect its economy, and so
